1911 white and red oak church pews,
from forests long ago.
2017 the pews are destroyed by vandals.
Today, newly designed benches,
with curved back slats,
re-sawn from pew shards (pictured above)
salvaged seats sanded,
curved to support a different sort of believer, and a civic congregation.
